The reason for the lull..

The real reason I haven't updated my blog in a long while is because the weather is very gloomy here in Hyderabad and I am unable to click the million pictures I want to capture. What is a blog post without great eye-candy?! But, I can't take the silence anymore..so, here I am with a minor update from my side.. Our family went on a whirlwind trip to our hometown last week. We drove in our car to Chennai rather than take the train and we enjoyed the trip a lot. Its different to travel by road in our own pace. The weather was awesome throughout and the best part of it was Alvin, my toddler tornado enjoyed the trip a lot. He was a sport and was in good mood throughout the trip which made it easy for all of us.

Here are a few pics from the trip.. One thing I got back in touch during the trip was cloud watching! During my schooldays, I remember being an avid cloud watcher. I like watching the skyline during the day. I am not as enthralled by the stars as I am by the clouds. The blue sky brings about a sense of peace in me and this trip made me soak up the beauty that the sky is, to my heart's content.. I felt sad that I am cooped up in a temperature-controlled office in my 9 to 5 job when the blue sky is out there calling me! sigh! Leave a comment here if you wish  and let me know about your favorite pastime as a kid that you aren't able to indulge these days.. Misery loves company, doesn't it?!

We crossed the Nagarjuna Sagar dam early in the morning right after sunrise and had our impromptu breakfast there. The location looked serene. Here is a view of it .. Isn't the skyline lovely! The credit for the photos go to my dear Hubster.

This is me and Alvin getting ready to have breakfast. The boring bread and jam breakfast tasted lovely in the peaceful surroundings.

and, this is Alvin wearing a sherwani at my cousin's wedding(the reason for the trip).. He starts acting goofy if one asks him to pose for a snap..here he is plastered with his goofy smile along with his uncles..

One the crafty side, I have designed another scarf which is in the final stages of test-knitting. A few kind Ravelers are test-knitting it for me and I will let you all know more about the scarf when the pattern is released. In the meantime, please pray that the weather in Hyderabad improves soon and we get the elusive sunshine that we are craving for.. I have tonnes of photos to click..

Only today morning, Alvin was asking me where the Sun has gone.. I told him that the Sun has gone on a vacation behind the clouds!! ;-) Time to learn scientifically correct answers to his questions!!

Hope you all are doing well and having lovely craft-filled days!
