The surprise!

Ohk.. In the last post, I spoke about a surprise that I was going to let you guys know soon..Here it is..Its no more a secret.. Its time for me to let the cat out of the bag!! ;-)I have an Etsy store now.I am starting it in a small way..hoping to learn the ropes as I go on.. You can find the link to my store on the side bar to your right! I have only a few items up for sale at the moment. I hope to add more items soon.

One of my resolution for the year 2010 is to open a store for my handmade items. I love to create and love sewing, knitting and crocheting. Since I started passionately indulging in my hobbies, my home has been overflowing with FOs of all kind. That is when the idea of an Etsy store struck me. I have already talked about the constant struggle between my creative and practical sides.

The creative side of me wants to create items without questioning the practicality of the FOs. That is why I have knitting and crochet as obsessive hobbies in this hot and melting Hyderabad where simmering summer is the main season of the year. The practical side of me questions the FOs the creative side creates. I mostly try to ignore the practical side and turn a deaf ear towards it! But, it doesn't work all the time..

So, the possibility to sell my FOs appeases both sides of me! There is a hope that someone will buy my FOs.. which will help me to create more FOs.. I am hoping this routine will be established in the near future. I have read so many Etsy success stories.. I also know that..there as many Etsy failure stories as there are success stories. But, I have decided to write my Etsy story...

Currently I have listed only my sewing FOs. I am hoping to add knitted and crocheted FOs in the future. It will not be a single craft store. I am hoping it will evolve along with me as I wade my way through the sea of crafts! Here is a preview of the items currently listed in my store.

Please feel free to browse the store..
I hope you find something you like to buy. Shipping is free within India! ;-)
I will be humbled and honored if you find something I handmade that you would like to buy in my shop.

I will take this opportunity to thank my friends and the many lovely ladies I have met through Ravelry especially the South Asian Crafters Group for the inspiration and the encouragement.. without you all, I would not have worked up the courage to open this store. I am glad to know you all.. :-) A special thanks to my Hubster... who stands by me in all my crafty pursuits! Thank you Honey! What would I do without you?!?! Love ya loads!!

TC.
